Exciting Opportunity for Pediatric Anesthesiologists: Locum Physician Needed in Dayton, OHJoin Dayton Children's Hospital as a Locum Physician in Pediatric Anesthesiology and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, hospital-based environment. This role offers a unique chance to provide essential anesthesiology coverage during a critical staffing period, supporting high patient volumes and working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.In this position, you will provide anesthesiology services in a Level 1 Trauma Center, managing an average of 50-60 surgical cases daily across 14 operating rooms. You will supervise CRNAs in a collaborative care model, contributing to exceptional patient outcomes for neonatal to adult populations. This assignment runs from August 10th to November 16th, 2026, offering a consistent Monday through Friday daytime schedule from 0700 to 1530 hours.Required Skills:Successful completion of an anesthesiology residency program Current medical license and DEA registration in Ohio Certification in ACLS and BLS Proven experience in pediatric anesthesia Ability to supervise CRNAs and work within a multidisciplinary team Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills Nice to Have Skills:Previous experience in trauma or high-volume surgical settings Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Familiarity with care team supervision models Bilingual abilities are a plus Preferred Education and Experience:Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of pediatric anesthesiology experience in a hospital setting Prior experience in Level 1 Trauma Centers highly desirable Other Requirements:Confirmation of internal credentialing status Complete all credentialing documentation promptly, including DOB, SSN, home address, and relevant certifications Must undergo fingerprinting and agency credentialing processes immediately upon acceptance Travel reimbursements available, including mileage, rental car, hotel, and flights, as per facility policies This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a vibrant environment committed to excellence in patient care.
