In this role, you will serve as a bridge between advanced AI capabilities and real-world business impact, designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions that drive measurable value across the enterprise. This role will report to the AI Director, with overall functional oversight from the Chief Growth and Strategy Officer. You will collaborate closely with business leaders and functional teams to identify high-impact opportunities for AI, ensuring solutions are not only technically robust but also aligned with strategic priorities. Beyond model development, you will play a key role in integrating AI into existing systems, scaling successful initiatives, and fostering a culture of innovation that empowers teams to adopt and trust AI in their workflows. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and business, eager to shape the future of enterprise AI by turning cutting‑edge models into sustainable, collaborative solutions that accelerate growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage. Responsibilities The AI Solution Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end AI solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with the organization’s goals. They act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions and overseeing the implementation of AI technologies. Design AI and machine learning (ML) architectures to solve business problems. Define the technical roadmap for AI projects, including infrastructure, tools, and frameworks. Ensure scalability, security, and performance of AI solutions. Work closely with business leaders, data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable plans. Evaluate and recommend AI tools, platforms, and technologies (buy vs build). Stay updated on emerging AI trends and technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive. Collaborate with data teams to ensure the availability of high-quality data for AI models. Define data pipelines, storage, and governance strategies. Design, develop and deploy intuitive, scalable, and value-driven AI models and solutions that streamline workflows, enhance decision-making, and accelerate innovation. Ensure integration with existing systems and workflows. Document technical designs, processes, and outcomes for knowledge sharing and scalability and provide training, and support to drive AI adoption across teams. Ensure AI solutions adhere to ethical guidelines, data privacy regulations, and Responsible AI principles. Address potential biases in AI models and ensure transparency. Define metrics to measure the success of AI solutions. Continuously monitor and optimize AI models and systems. Qualifications EXPERIENCE 3-5 years experience Strong knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn). Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Java. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and AI services. Expertise in designing scalable and secure AI architectures. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of microservices, APIs, and system integration. Strong understanding of data engineering, data pipelines, and data governance. Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to translate business needs into AI opportunities that drive efficiencies and speeds. Proven experience in AI/ML solution design and implementation. Background in software engineering, data science, or related fields. Certifications in AI/ML or cloud platforms (e.g., Azure AI Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning). Experience with Responsible AI frameworks and ethical AI practices. Knowledge of industry-specific AI applications (e.g., healthcare, finance, retail). Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. For Rhode Island this ranges from $125,000-$165,000 plus benefits and retirement program.
