What you can expect as a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician at West Star Your role focuses on leading a team of technicians to produce timely, high‑quality results. Successful candidates will be analytical, inquisitive, and possess strong problem‑solving skills. You will manage manpower, direct project flow, and ensure excellence in work.

You will be essential to many functions

Lead the team to complete the necessary jobs and tasks. Implement a strong turnover of work to the next shift. Look for opportunities to reduce aircraft turnaround time.

Help train and mentor technicians assigned to your projects. Supervise team members in daily workload. Work independently on projects and lead multiple projects as assigned.

Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems. Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems. Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components.

Conduct aircraft movement, performance runs, and taxiing as required. Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling. Work with customers in project management, pricing, and support roles.
