Senior Interior Designer

Joe McGuire Design is hiring a Senior Interior Designer to complement its current team. We are looking for an experienced designer, who will share the aesthetic vision of Joe McGuire Design. This position would be based either in our Boulder office, or our Aspen office. Both offices are located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and hiking trails. Occasional travel to Denver, Aspen or other parts of the US would be required. The ideal candidate will have: 7+ years of high-end residential design experience including new construction, full remodel and full FF&E package. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Mac OS, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, Google Apps Working knowledge of Sketchup Pro or similar is a plus, but not mandatory. Responsibilities include: Develop a creative vision for JMD projects Collaborate on project design charrettes Oversee project timelines and meet deadlines Serve as the primary point of client contact Lead, mentor and delegate to junior design staff Follow up with consultants, vendors, and trades In-depth knowledge of high end furniture sources and vendors Knowledge of fabrics and custom furniture specification Strong understanding of scale and proportion Ability to developSketches and drawings Mood boards Concept boards Presentations Finish selections and palettes Construction schedules Site visits and construction observations Creating & maintaining project budgets Identify & communicate scope creep. Coordinating with accounting for Invoice review.
