Locum Tenens Opportunity: Psychiatry Physician Near Milpitas, CA We are seeking two skilled Psychiatry Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity near Milpitas, CA. This position offers a rewarding chance to contribute to an established inpatient behavioral health department with a flexible schedule. Position Overview: Specialty : Psychiatry (Inpatient) Start Date : ASAP End Date : Ongoing, through February 7, 2025 (potentially longer) Shift Details :Weekday Hours : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM Weekend Coverage : 1 weekend per month, rounding only from 8:00 AM 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday No Overnight Call Work Details: Patient Demographics :Age Group : Adults 18+ (No pediatric patients) Patients Per Shift : Up to 14 on weekdays Bed Count : 67 inpatient beds Rounding : Required on assigned patients Practice Setting : Inpatient behavioral health department EMR System : Cerner Requirements: Board Certification : Must be board certified in Psychiatry Licensing :State License : Active California medical license required Temporary Privileges : Available if needed Certifications :BLS : Required Credentialing Timeframe : Estimated at 60 days Hospital Privileges : Not required, but admissions are part of the role Additional Information: Holidays Observed : New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day Backup Coverage : No overnight call duties, only weekend rounding as needed Stroke Certification : The facility is stroke certified This is an excellent opportunity for psychiatrists seeking a structured yet flexible work environment.
