Job Description Summary Job Purpose As an Outpatient Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for providing precise diagnostic imaging exams in the CT imaging modality. Your role is crucial in meeting the needs of patients, ordering physicians, and radiologists while ensuring the highest quality of care. Key Responsibilities
Perform Radiologic Examinations: Conduct timely, accurate, and safe radiologic examinations for radiologist interpretation. Ensure that exam delays are communicated and exams are uploaded to PACS immediately upon completion. Maintain MRI Suite and Clinical Areas: Ensure MRI suite and adjacent areas are ready for patients. Maintain equipment functionality, perform quality control, and report any issues promptly to the required parties. Promote a Culture of Safety: Identify and recommend improvements to safety protocols. Engage in discussions on patient care issues and collaborate with the care team to resolve them effectively. Job Requirements
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology is required. Experience: 5 years in support or 0-2 years in a professional capacity. Certifications: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 months. A licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is mandatory. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross for Healthcare Providers is also required.
