The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts, leading the store team in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels in the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot. Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring team members stay current on individual training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Process buy‑online, ship‑to‑store, hub‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and in accordance with procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issuing refunds accurately with the correct payment methods, and staging returned merchandise correctly. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before products leave the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies, adhere to posted work schedules, obtain approvals for deviations, and clock in/out correctly. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned.
