Risk Management Specialist – University of Miami Location: UHealth Campus, Miami, FL – Onsite full‑time Overview The Risk Management Department seeks a dedicated Risk Management Specialist. The role supports strategic planning and operational excellence by performing data analysis, maintaining databases, and generating dashboards to inform internal decision‑making. Core Responsibilities Conduct basic data analysis using statistical techniques, data mining, and predictive modeling. Research best practices and recommend solutions to enhance current business operations.

Generate reports and analyze data for internal planning processes and reporting purposes. Maintain databases and dashboards to support departmental planning needs, goals, and objectives. Interpret business data, identifying trends or patterns in data sets. Analyze reports to support the department’s planning, needs, goals, and objectives.

Ensure data accuracy and report any issues to management. Adhere to University and unit‑level policies and procedures, safeguarding University assets. Core Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required). Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (required). 1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred.

Health Data Analyst Certification, Power BI and/or Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) strongly preferred.

Experience

with RL6 and Epic strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Learning Agility – Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, adapting to changing priorities. Teamwork – Collaborate effectively with others in a team environment. Technical Proficiency – Skilled in office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.

Communication – Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
