Family Practice Physician

The Physician (MD or DO) is responsible for providing primary medical care to patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Practice medicine within the scope of the primary care program
- Analyze medical history, reports, findings of tests, and examination to determine conditions/diagnosis and provide appropriate treatments
- Promote health by advising patients about diet, behaviors, and methods for prevention of disease
- Perform procedures within scope of primary care program and the providers surgical competency /privileges
- Refer patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary
- Assist in outreach efforts as requested
- Share in the after-hours coverage and calls as appropriate
- Mentor Advance Practice Clinicians as needed
- Family Practice Physician may provide supervision and review of services provided by Physician Assistants as required by WAC 308-52-141 and Center's practice protocols
- Familiar with using electronic health record (Ex. Athena)
- Monitor, and where applicable, oversee relevant provider and care staff to ensure delivery of care
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct reports.
Qualifications
- Active MD or DO License in Washington State (required)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (preferred)
- MAT Waiver within 120 days of hire (required)
- Active DEA Certification (required)
- Active CPR Certification (required)
- Valid drivers license (required)

For pay equity purposes, PCHS pays each role at a calculated market wage plus applicable stipends associated with certain shifts or locations.

Starting Salary: $205,000 Annually

Work Environment and Physical Demands
With multiple locations and settings, PCHS work environment and physical demands vary greatly depending on the employees role. Essential job functions include the following: The employee is required to talk, hear, see, smell, sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to move around the facility; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
