21AUG2019 - JOBS - Senior Manager, Fuel Operations - Carnival Corporation - Miami, FL, US We are currently seeking a Fuel Operations Senior Manager This Senior Manager role is a newly developed role that partially replaces the Senior Director role. Essential Functions Sourcing and Management of Sustainable / Renewable / Alternative Fuels.Sustainable Fuels are critical to Carnival’s growth and this role will be responsible for identifying opportunities; building our capability in this space; and collaborating with our R&D / Technical Teams to evaluate opportunities.Responsible for approximately $100MM in fuel spend.Build Operational Excellence. Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of Fuel Operations including identifying areas for process improvement and standardization of processes for efficiency. The Senior Manager will aggressively update, document, improve, and standardize our Core Operations Practices. This will ensure we build sustainable and repeatable practices; we retain critical operations knowledge to enable growth and development of the Fuel team; significantly improve succession planning while simultaneously reducing the impact of attrition. Inform Strategic Decisions That Affect Operations And Manage Key Activities To Ensure Consistency Of Practice And Policy Compliance Global Procurement OperationsImplementation of Fuel Management System and Integration with Neptune Fuel Management (NFM)Vessel and supplier operations and communicationSupplier performance and quality measurements. Implement Supplier Scorecard.Benchmark vs other Operations Teams, Standardize, and improve our On Call Process.To include regular On-Call debriefs and analysis of events.Demand Management, Scheduling, and Lift OptimizationDeep understanding of itineraries, itinerary changes, and potential impact to fuel supplyProvide fulfillment analysis and recommendations based on port locations, supply base changes, seasonal ship transitions, loading infrastructure with desired outcome to drive efficiency, optimization, an cost savings across the enterprise.Interface and Collaborate with Regional Operations Managers to drive efficiency in managing over 8000 transactions annually, minimizing change orders, and optimizing Lift Compliance.Organization Development.Working closely with the Vice President—Fuel to develop and embed sustainable processes to coach and systemically develop the requisite operational skills in the Fuel Team.Including robust on-boarding and training processes.Assist with standardization and documentation of operational processes for the Fuel TeamIdentify, coach, and develop the operation skill set for the Fuel TeamImplement organizational strategies, policies and practicesAssist with system and tool usage and implementation to drive operational process efficiencyStakeholder management and communication including understanding of itineraries, ports, and provide value-driven recommendations.Provide support for special projects and sourcing efforts, including supplier performance measurements and spot buying strategies. Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Industrial Operations, Business, Finance and/or Supply Chain preferred.CIPS, ISM, optional5-7 years and area of professional experience requiredExperience building and leading Teams; Experience in or Knowledge of Oil, Energy, Aviation, or Marine Fuels. Analytical skills.
