Manufacturing Engineer I Actalent is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer for a leading Medical Device company in Pomona, CA Job Description The role requires utilizing technical skills and an understanding of business objectives within manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will take a proactive role in a specific technical manufacturing discipline, setting direction, leading, and taking ownership of complex engineering tasks. These tasks may involve multiple inter‑coordinating elements, requiring creative thinking and new methods for resolution. Interaction with peers and mentors will primarily be in the context of peer reviews to confirm task approach and validation activities. Responsibilities Take ownership of complex manufacturing engineering technical tasks. Set direction and lead in a specific technical manufacturing discipline. Anticipate and identify key issues, making recommendations for resolution. Apply new methods and approaches for task resolution. Consider the impact of resolutions on other system components. Engage in peer reviews to confirm the rationale for task approach and validation activities. Essential Skills Experience in manufacturing engineering. Expertise in process improvement and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. Proficiency in process engineering and SolidWorks. Ability to design and create work instructions. Familiarity with medical devices and mechanical engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with medical devices and/or automation. Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Electrical, Software, Mechanical Engineering – Preferred degree in mechanical engineering, but industrial or other manufacturing degrees considered with relevant experience. Internship experience or activity involvement during school is considered. Work Environment The work environment involves a dynamic and collaborative setting, utilizing advanced technologies in manufacturing. This position requires interaction with various system components and peers for effective task management and resolution. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pomona, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
