Asst Branch Manager

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Branch Manager with 5-10 years of banking experience and 3-4 years of management or leadership experience. In this role, you will assist the Branch Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring the highest levels of customer service, operational efficiency, and team performance. You will be a key leader in driving business development efforts, staff management, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations. Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Hindi, Farsi, Tagalog, Arabic, or Spanish speaking is a bonus/preferred but is NOT required. The client prefers Temp to Hire but for long-standing/working candidates we are able to look at the Direct Hire pathway. Key Responsibilities Operational Management: Assist in the management of branch operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, while maintaining operational efficiency. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate branch staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth among team members. Customer Service: Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Business Development: Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop strategies for growing the branch's customer base, increasing deposits, and expanding loan portfolios. Sales Leadership: Drive sales goals and branch performance by identifying opportunities for cross-selling and promoting bank products and services. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all banking laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) policies, know-your-customer (KYC) protocols, and other regulatory requirements. Financial Oversight: Assist in the management of the branch's budget, financial reporting, and expense control. Staff Development: Help in recruiting, training, and performance management of branch employees, ensuring staff are well-equipped to meet both individual and branch goals. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients and key community stakeholders. Qualifications Experience: 5-10 years of progressive experience in the banking sector. 3-4 years of experience in a management or leadership role within banking, with a strong focus on operations, customer service, and sales. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. (Master's degree is a plus.) Preferred/not 100% Required Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in banking software and systems. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.
