The Salisbury VA Healthcare System is excited to announce that we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief of Gynecology to join our esteemed medical team. This leadership position is essential as we continue our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services to our patients. Become a vital part of our mission Duties can include but are not limited to performing: • Diagnose and treat reproductive system disorders such as endometriosis, infertility, ovarian cysts, and pelvic pain.• Educate patients on disease prevention, detection, and reproductive health, and breast exams.• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.• The chief position determines all call coverage.• Annually, there are 900 unique outpatient encounters, primarily for consultations. The surgery department handles 100 inpatient and outpatient cases each year and reports to the chief of surgery.Academic Affiliation• Wake Forest • 3rd year OB/GYN resident from wake Forest OBGYN program rotating at all times.Requirements U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialtyBoard Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.Benefits The VA offers all employees' industry leading full benefits and features-package to support high quality professional practice & a favorable work-life-family balance.
