**Job Specialty:** Postpartum - Mother Baby
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-Hour Days, every other weekend, first to float
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years required; 4+ years of postpartum experience preferred
**License:** Required
**Certifications:** BLS, NRP
**Must-Have:** Travel experience preferred
**Job Description:**
- Work in a postpartum unit with 30 beds.
- Responsible for couplet care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 4.
- Utilize Fetal Link for Fetal Heart Monitoring.
- Chart using Cerner EMR system.
- Collaborate with an in-house OB attending available 24 hours.
- No IV team; respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7.
- Provide care for common diagnoses including high-risk pregnancies, hypertension, multiples, diabetes, substance abuse, and lack of prenatal care.
- Participate in a floor-specific orientation for 3 shifts.
- Will float to NICU to care for feeders and growers as needed.
- Required to work one major and one minor holiday.
- Wear navy scrubs as per the unit requirement.
- No call requirement; however, must be prepared for potential shift cancellations by the facility.
