Responsibilities
Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding for diagnoses and procedures. Assign appropriate codes using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS. Ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines related to medical coding. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures as needed.
Assist in the management of medical billing processes and collections. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding practices, regulations, and technologies. CPC or CCS certification requiredAAPC-CPC or AHIMA-CCS certificationStrong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
