Position: Senior Engineer, Electrical Location: Parsippany, NJ Job Id: -NB # of Openings: 2 Overview Marotta Controls is looking for an Electrical Engineer II to join our world‑class team of engineers. The team is responsible for designing and developing Marotta products for aerospace and military weapon systems, which includes missiles, guided rockets, smart munitions, and more. Specifically, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for electronic system circuit design, analyses, fabrication management, test, and hands‑on work required to mature hardware into a qualified and producible product. Key Responsibilities Develop a thorough understanding of the customer's requirements. Choose a design architecture that meets performance, EMI, reliability, and cost targets. Perform detailed design and analysis of the electronic control units to be compliant with requirements. Consider and balance cost, technical, schedule, and risk factors. Interface with the project team and customer(s). Generate and review technical specifications and reports to satisfy internal and external deliverables. Perform breadboard‑level tests on new development products. Mentor junior‑level electrical engineers. Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering. 2+ years of experience designing electrical circuits in aerospace. New Product Development experience in aerospace/military industry. Ability to effectively communicate, plan, and organize work in one or more projects concurrently. Experience designing and testing analog, power, control and digital circuits. Experience with electric motor drives preferred. Strong documentation and writing skills. Ability to work closely with a team of engineers and technicians and comfortable in a laboratory environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Work Environment This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. The role uses standard office equipment and may require appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection. This is a full‑time position. Overtime and weekend work may be required, as job duties demand. Pay Range Salary: $110,000 to $130,000 per year. This position is at our Parsippany, NJ office location. Many of our contracts require proof that you are a U.S. citizen and/or that an export license has been obtained for employees who are citizens of certain countries. Your employment, both initially and continually thereafter, is conditioned on production of such proof of citizenship and/or any export license that may be required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or executive orders, or required by federal, state, or local government contracts.
