One Federal Solution is seeking a highly skilled General Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to perform a full range of diagnostic imaging procedures in a dynamic clinical environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt to complex patient conditions. Technologists work under the general supervision of a Radiologist or other medical officers and must be capable of performing examinations on patients with serious illness, injuries, or physical/mental limitations. Non-standard positioning and equipment adjustments may be required.General Requirements • Work under the general supervision of a Radiologist or designated medical officer. • Perform examinations that may be complicated by patient illness, injury, or limited mobility. • Devise non-standard positioning techniques or equipment setups when necessary to obtain diagnostic images.Specific Technical Requirements • Perform General Diagnostic procedures including fluoroscopy, operating room imaging, and portable radiography. • Demonstrate familiarity with Client imaging equipment. • Knowledge of Philips IntelliSpace PACS is highly desirable. • Must possess current ARRT certification.Clinical & Technical Duties • Operate ionizing and/or sealed-source radiation equipment safely and effectively. • Calculate and maintain accurate records of therapeutic and cumulative radiation doses. • Receive patients by verifying name, Social Security number, or date of birth; explain procedures clearly. • Review and evaluate requisitions, medical records, and radiation oncology prescriptions for accuracy. • Confirm patient preparation prior to radiographic, fluoroscopic, or ultrasound procedures. • Ensure proper patient positioning, exam protocol adherence, and optimal image display. • Perform image annotation, labeling, evaluation, and quality checks to ensure diagnostic completeness. • rchive images and document all required procedural information.Patient Care & Safety • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and modesty throughout all procedures. • Monitor and safeguard medical equipment attached to patients during imaging. • Select and apply immobilization devices when needed to prevent movement and ensure safety. • Use proper body mechanics and/or mechanical transfer devices when assisting patients. • Recognize urgent medical needs and provide prompt emergency care when required. • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information. • Take appropriate precautions to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.Equipment & Environment • Check equipment functionality prior to each examination; report issues to the supervisor immediately. • Maintain a clean, organized imaging environment and restock supplies at the end of each shift.Administrative & Operational Duties • Greet patients and assist with scheduling, appointment verification, or phone inquiries as needed. • Call down scheduled in-patients for examinations. • Document events occurring during the assigned tour and notify the Radiologist on-call or supervisory technologist as appropriate. • Remain on duty until properly relieved by the next shift. • Report for duty on time; notify supervisor of absence or tardiness at least one hour before shift start. • When no radiologist is on duty, consult the on-call radiologist regarding inappropriate or unclear exam requests. • Enter required data into the Decentralized Hospital Computer Program (DHCP). • Select technical factors and imaging protocols based on established criteria. • Notify radiologists or nuclear medicine physicians of significant findings requiring immediate attention.
