**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week
**Experience:** 1 year of nursing experience required
**License:** Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse license required
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:**
- EPIC experience for first-time travelers
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
- Experience in Intermediate/Stepdown care and Neuro
**Job Description:**
- Work in a mixed acuity unit with Intermediate Care acuity, Telemetry, and MedSurg patients.
- Surgical patient care includes urology, bowel obstructions, abdominal surgeries, and ortho trauma.
- Neuro/Spine patient care includes CVA/TIA, neurovascular interventions, seizures, brain tumors, and spinal surgeries.
- General medical care involves patients with cellulitis, influenza, COVID, pneumonia, and renal or hepatic failure.
- Provide wound care, telemetry monitoring, and manage various medical devices (e.g., chest tubes, trach care, NGT tubes).
- Perform drip titration for medications like Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone.
- Participate in a team-setting supporting pods of eight patients per RN.
- Float to any adult inpatient unit as needed.
- Attend 2-day orientation and additional unit-specific training.
- Schedule includes working up to 4 out of every 6 weekends.
- Provide excellent patient care and comply with audits for pre/post pain scoring (must maintain 90% compliance).
