Responsibilities Analyze plans and specifications Perform site visit(s) and meets with owners and designers if required Prepare take-offs Prepare budgetary estimates Establishes means and methods of construction and performs engineering analyses to support means and methods Prepare costs analysis for certain or all portions of the projects Solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors Prepare construction schedule and perform cash-flow analyses Close out bids and assist in preparation of supporting documentation From time to time, visits projects, and prepares cost analyses Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Marine Construction with at least 3 years in estimating preferred Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology/Management required Proficient skills in standard computer software packages Supervisory experience preferred This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language Other Requirements: Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
