Typical Day / Responsibilities As a Multi-Unit Team Leader, you’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. You’ll lead front-line teams to accelerate the seasonal tax business, focusing on delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives across three offices. You will be the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, performance management, and ensuring effective client service across all offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. Schedule: start with a flexible part-time arrangement in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season; from January to April, transition to full-time with possible evening and weekend hours. This role requires in-person work (not remote). It would be even better if you also have multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries. What you'll bring to the team Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and community involvement Assist the DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns Build an engaging team environment across all offices through training and coaching Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management Travel between offices as required Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment Your Expertise People management experience with demonstrated ability to grow and develop associates Aptitude for executing growth plans and leading a growth-focused culture Strong decision-making and judgment skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset Computer proficiency with MS Office Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns) Benefits / Why work for us H&R Block offers benefits to support health, wellbeing, and financial security.
