Director of Risk and Claims

Director of Risk and Claims Join Premise Health as our Director of Risk and Claims. This full‑time, hybrid role is based in Brentwood, TN. You will lead the design, development, and implementation of the company’s overall risk strategy, provide consultation to leadership, identify risk trends, and support business opportunities. What You’ll Do Assist the executive team in determining the company’s risk appetite and ensuring it aligns with our business strategy. Lead efforts to analyze, quantify, and communicate enterprise‑level risks to senior leadership. Design, develop, and enhance enterprise risk dashboards to monitor risk. Initiate and complete the enterprise risk register, collaborating with sponsoring executives on mitigation strategies and formally documenting top risks. Partner with senior leadership to integrate enterprise risk analytics into business operations throughout the company. Create a framework of risk management policies and procedures. Support corporate development activities such as mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures by providing advisory and insurance procurement services. Actively participate on the board of the company’s risk retention group, monitoring and adjusting the investment strategy to achieve desired returns. Speak at various functions to provide insight into the risk management function. Educate, advise, and counsel team members on risk mitigation, prevention, transfer, or insurance. Oversee day‑to‑day insurance operations, including explanation and interpretation of coverage and policy terms, provision of coverage summaries and certificates to clients, timely submission and processing of claims, and support of insurance‑related needs. Maintain the ergonomic program for the company and manage the relationship with our ergonomic vendor. Serve as the knowledge expert on our outsourced incident reporting system, ensuring timely delivery of reporting packages to interested parties. Review contract language as necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline. Master of Business Administration preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of corporate risk management experience. Experience working with senior and executive‑level leaders. Experience leading, directing, and supervising the work of others. Demonstrated creative problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a high‑stress environment.
