**Job Description:**
- Practice independently, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation.
- Provide routine and complex care with the ability to plan long-range goals.
- Develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing.

- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient and family needs; develop and modify specific plans of care.
- Implement patient care and therapeutic procedures; monitor and document treatment progress.
- Facilitate patient admission, discharge, and transfer needs.
- Plan, direct, and evaluate overall nursing care during assigned shifts.
- Promote a safe environment through patient safety practices and guidelines.
- Demonstrate accountability for nursing research and quality improvement.
- Educate and train others on industry operations, ethics, and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare laws and regulations.
- Maintain and document paper and electronic patient documentation accurately.
- Ensure all medical equipment and supplies are properly maintained and safe for use.
