INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY - RIO GRANDE VALLEY, TEXASTHE OPPORTUNITYJoin an established cardiovascular program at a respected regional medical center in Harlingen. This employed interventional cardiology position offers excellent case volume, modern cardiac catheterization labs, and the opportunity to serve the growing Rio Grande Valley community.CLINICAL PRACTICE- Comprehensive interventional cardiology practice- State-of-the-art cardiac cath lab with 2 procedure rooms- Annual procedural volume: 700+ cases per interventionalist- PCI including complex and CTO interventions- Peripheral vascular interventions- Strong STEMI program with established protocolsPROCEDURAL MIX- Coronary angiography and PCI- Peripheral arterial interventions- Structural heart procedures (or opportunity to develop)- Temporary pacemakers and IABP- Right heart catheterization- Mechanical circulatory supportCLINICAL CARDIOLOGY- Outpatient cardiology clinic- Hospital consultations and inpatient management- Stress testing and nuclear cardiology- Echocardiography interpretation- Collaboration with electrophysiologyCALL & SCHEDULE- Interventional call rotation with partners- STEMI call participation- Monday-Friday clinic and procedure schedule- Reasonable weekend call expectations- Protected procedure timeCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS- Highly competitive interventional cardiology salary- Procedural productivity bonus- Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance- 401(k) retirement with employer match- CME allowance: $5,000 annually- Malpractice coverage with tail includedHARLINGEN & RIO GRANDE VALLEY, TEXASThe Rio Grande Valley is one of Texas's fastest-growing regions with year-round warm weather.
