About this Opportunity: MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technician to join our dynamic team in MedStar Ambulatory Services The Radiologic Technician plays a crucial role in both clinical and administrative functions within the MedStar Ambulatory Services. This position operates under the supervision of a physician and is responsible for various tasks, including patient triage, care pathways, venipuncture, and laboratory testing, as well as following up with patients. Radiologic Technicians are certified professionals who conduct and transmit X-ray diagnostic images accurately. You'll also be responsible for appropriate documentation in medical records while supporting optimal patient flow. Take the next step in your career and apply today Primary Responsibilities: Capture and evaluate ordered images for technical quality, ensuring images are sent to the correct destinations for interpretation, repeating images when necessary. Assist the physician during patient examinations and education. Maintain individual credentials for radiography and manage a log system for patient follow-up on various tests, ensuring a clean and orderly work environment while reporting any safety issues. Monitor equipment functionality and report any issues promptly. Clean, restock, and sterilize equipment, while ensuring patient rooms are ready for care delivery. Prepare documentation, including evaluation results and treatment plans. Promote a respectful environment for patients, families, and coworkers, maintaining professionalism at all times. Support team members in managing patient flow, providing telephone triage, follow-ups, and transportation of patients to radiographic rooms as needed. Qualifications: Completion of an externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification. Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland. CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification. CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred. 2+ years of medical office experience, with preference given to candidates experienced in electronic medical records. Completion of an approved R.T. (Radiology Tech) program preferred. Completion of an approved M.A. (Medical Assistant) program preferred. This role offers a competitive hiring range of USD $29.15 - USD $51.68 per hour.
