Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Job Location: Denison, IA, 51442

Job Type: Contract/Traveler - 13 weeks

Job Duties:
* Conduct ultrasound scans on patients, following specific protocols to capture clear and accurate images of the targeted area, such as the abdomen, heart, blood vessels, or developing fetus during pregnancy.
* Explain procedures to patients, address any concerns, and ensure they are appropriately positioned to obtain optimal images. Apply a gel to the skin to facilitate sound wave transmission and minimize air pockets.
* Operate and adjust ultrasound machines, ensuring proper settings and image quality. Recognize and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
* Evaluate the quality of ultrasound images in real-time to determine if additional scans are necessary to capture essential diagnostic information. Recognize normal and abnormal anatomy.
* Document examination findings, patient medical history, and any other relevant information in medical records. Communicate results to the attending physician for further evaluation and diagnosis.
* Perform routine maintenance on ultrasound equipment, ensuring it functions correctly. Report any malfunctions or the need for repairs to the appropriate personnel.
* Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to protect both patients and staff. Follow all relevant regulations and guidelines governing the practice of medical sonography.
* Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology and medical practices by participating in ongoing training and continuing education programs

Job Requirements:
* BLS
* ARDMS certified
* Active state license of Iowa
* Covid card

Schedule:
* 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM
* 5x8
* 40 hours guaranteed in a week
