**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - PICU
**Job Specialty:** Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 full years of recent independent PICU experience; cardiac experience required; experience in ventilators, multiple monitors, specifically CVP and EKG.
**License:** California license required
**Certifications:** BLS, PALS; flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
**Must-Have:**
- Cardiac experience
- 2 full years of recent independent PICU experience (within the last year)
- Willingness to float between units (CVPICU & NICU)
- Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, specifically CVP and EKG
**Job Description:**
- Work in a high acuity unit, handling cases related to injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi-system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post-op cardiac surgical care, and neurosurgery.
- Functions at the standard level of nursing practice.
- No requests for time off during Thanksgiving or Christmas; must work 2 out of 3 specified holidays.
- Must be flexible to work both day and night shifts.
- Expected to float within hospital PICU and NICU units, including satellite locations.
- Complete all required modules (6-8 hours) pre-start, which are non-billable but important for the role.
- Orientation consists of 12 non-billable hours.
- Adhere to compliance requirements, ensuring all documentation is submitted on time for a seamless onboarding process.
