Payroll Implementation Specialist

Position Summary Employers Council is currently seeking a Payroll Implementation Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Implementation Specialist position involves a full range of duties relative to the implementation of elements and management of project deliverables. The Payroll Implementation Specialist will progress through a specified training program for the UKG Ready HCM software system and associated roles to effectively support our members and clients. This position requires a strong learning aptitude and will be responsible for assigned projects and related tasks. Successful candidate must reside in: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming. Become a part of making work better for everyone by helping employers build exceptional workplaces Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support members and clients through the successful implementation of payroll within the UKG Ready HCM platform. Guide members and clients in preparing, reviewing, and validating payroll, HR, and benefits data before moving into the new system. Assist with payroll data conversion activities to ensure information is accurate and complete. Work closely with members and clients to understand their payroll needs and help align system setup with their business processes. Partner with the Implementation Manager to track progress, review processes, and ensure a positive implementation experience. Support payroll testing and go-live activities to help ensure smooth and timely payroll processing. Assist members and clients following go-live by addressing questions, providing guidance, and supporting system updates or enhancements. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance payroll implementation and customer satisfaction. Core Competencies Preferred experience of 2+ years of processing payroll with UKG Ready or similar payroll systems. Solid understanding of payroll processes and the employee lifecycle. Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build trusted client relationships. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and internal teams. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative team player with a flexible, positive, and solution-oriented approach. Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and common virtual meeting tools. Ability to handle sensitive payroll information with professionalism and confidentiality. Work Environment General office environment with opportunities to work remotely. Ability to independently travel to engage members and perform on-site visits, including overnight stays if needed. Occasional lifting.
