The right candidate will simplify complex ideas, creatively analyze opportunitiesSed, and influence high‑level leaders through timely, accurate, and insightful analysis. Supported corporate functional departments: Commercial, Human Capital, Information Technology, Finance, Marketing, Provider Development. Supported business segments (P&Ls): Ascent On‑Demand, International Freight Forwarding, Brokerage & Managed Transportation. Key Responsibilities Support Ascent’s Global Annual Financial Planning & Continuous Financial Forecasting Program by collaborating with business partners and the FP&A team to create annual financial plans and forecasts for functional departments and business lines. Support Ascent’s Monthly Financial Review Program by collaborating with business partners and FP&A teammates to facilitate monthly financial reviews for business lines and other assigned areas. Support the maintenance and expansion of Ascent’s FP&A Technology Platform, comprising Alteryx workflows, a Snowflake data warehouse, Power BI dashboards, and Excel‑based reports sourced from various transportation management systems and Great Plains. Support the completion of projects and initiatives from the Annual FP&A Continuous Improvement Plan. Perform ad‑hoc analysis and reporting as assigned and assist with special projects to support strategic decision‐making. Develop proficiency in all relevant financial systems, policies, and procedures. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 3‑5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (logistics industry experience not required). Working knowledge of financial statement concepts and GAAP. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and preferably Great Plains, Power BI, Power Query, Snowflake, and Alteryx. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Periodic travel may be required.
