A health services organization in California is currently seeking a licensedFamily Medicine Physician for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Family Medicine Physician will be responsible for providing and managing direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment.About the Opportunity Assignment Length: 3 monthsSchedule: Monday to FridayHours: 8 hour shiftSetting: ClinicPatient Population: AdultsPatient Volume: 20 per dayEMR: Touchworks Responsibilities: The Family Medicine Physician will be responsible for:Performing therapeutic procedures, such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound careDocumenting and charting patient information in line with current policies and procedures.Developing and implementing patient management plans, recording progress notes, and assisting in provision of continuity of careCommunicating with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional informationPrescribing pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditionsReferring patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.Ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviation from normalPerforming other duties, as needed Qualifications: 2+ years of Clinical experience in a Family Practice Care settingGraduate of an accredited School of MedicineBoard Certified in Family MedicineDEA licenseKnowledge of computerized information systems used in business applications and clinical management systems (EMR)Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment Your privacy is important to us.
