Project Manager – Venture General Contracting Join Venture General Contracting to lead projects from business development through commissioning, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and closeout compliance. About Venture General Contracting At Venture General Contracting, success is measured by the relationships forged with clients and subcontractors, continuous improvement, and a healthy work environment. Compensation $110,000 – $170,000 per year. Duties & Responsibilities Work with the preconstruction team on all preconstruction activities leading up to project launch. Establish a bidding strategy and bidders’ list for the project. Coordinate all work using 2D/3D coordination, scope review, shop drawing coordination, and other methodologies. Set purchasing and scheduling goals, communicate them to the team and ensure adherence. Create a comprehensive work plan and communicate it to the entire project team. Manage all functions related to the project, including project controls, engineering, procurement, BIM, risk management, safety, profitability, and quality. Develop, train, mentor, and direct the work of internal project team members, including performance evaluations. Continually review and monitor project risks; plan for, mitigate, and solve challenges as they arise. Create monthly cost reports and ensure all monthly pay applications and bills are accurate and submitted on time. Prepare all Owner/Venture contracts (with Partner buy-in). Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships with clients, tenants, architects, engineers, and subcontractor partners. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or engineering (preferred). 8+ years of experience in construction management roles with progressively increasing responsibilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Strong working knowledge of project management and scheduling software. Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively.
