Primary Function: The Senior Project Manager leads the development and execution for high voltage engineering projects in industrial or utility settings, playing a key role in the proposal effort and managing the project through close‑out. This role directs coordination between clients and other external entities, driving project planning, budgeting and establishing critical project objectives. Project assignments are expected to be managed independently. Duties & Responsibilities Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions: Participate in the project proposal and bid process in conjunction with the Sales department Negotiate, approve and execute prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders Review, evaluate and implement project specifications, drawing releases and design changes Communicate project status, risks, schedule and costs to all internal and external stakeholders Develop, review and approve internal and external project reports including project budgeting, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports Routinely present project updates to senior management Lead multi‑discipline project team in support of assigned project Direct and oversee the subcontract bid process and prepare detailed scope of work documents for Supplier and Subcontract contracts. Develop, implement, execute and oversee Prime Contract and Subcontractor invoicing process Direct the securing of applicable project permits Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications / Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management or related field is required. Ten years of experience in the supervision/management of budgets and work groups is required. Experience in managing high voltage projects is strongly preferred. Demonstrated understanding of substations, substation control and transmission systems is strongly preferred Understand financial aspects of project controls Ability to negotiate and influence key decision makers Technical writing skills with an understanding of business management concepts Proficient in cost control or project management software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) Travel to project sites as necessary Physical Requirements: This position requires minimal physical effort. Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for a minimum of 8 hours a day While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to year‑around weather conditions and noise. Must be able and willing to travel overnight for trainings and/or meetings as required (10%) Working extended hours, including weekends, may be required periodically.
