Are you an Orthopedic Surgery physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in New Mexico might be the perfect fit for you Opportunity Highlights Schedule: 7 on 7 off schedule with call coverage every other week; 3 days in clinic and 2 OR days based on procedural volume Job Setting: Level 3 Trauma facility with full clinic staff and anesthesia available Types of Cases: 20-25 patients per day in clinic; minimal call back per call shift; most patients admitted to hospitalist and covered next day Credentialing: 30 days Start Date: 3/1/2026 - Ongoing Minimum Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Eligible Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS Licensure: New Mexico state license required Preferred Skills Arthroscopy Total Joint replacement (Hip, Knee, Other) Joint revision or repair (Shoulder, Hip, Knee, Other) Hand Tendon release/repair Peripheral nerve surgery Spine surgery with instrumentation (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar) Spine surgery without instrumentation (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar) Percutaneous disc surgery About VISTA Staffing A ClearlyRated Best of Staffing Client and Talent 10-Year Diamond Award winner, VISTA has 30 years of experience optimizing continuity of care for hospitals, medical practices and government agencies across the US.
