Job Summary As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and a variety of technical support functions under their supervision. Department Overview Join Elm Street Pharmacy, a community-focused pharmacy that operates alongside Albany General Hospital. Our pharmacy provides prescription dispensing services, immunizations, medication management, and assistance for Hospice prescriptions, reflecting our commitment to patient care. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. One of the following certifications is required: Current, unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician License. First-year PharmD student in good standing with an accredited pharmacy school and an unencumbered Oregon Board of Pharmacy Intern license. Successful completion of a Medical Pharmacy Technician course is preferred. All offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment/post-offer drug screening. Skills Required Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively explain complex information and collaborate with team members. Computer Literacy: Proficiency in electronic systems, software, and applications with data entry capabilities. Customer Service: Knowledge of customer service principles to assess needs and maintain quality service standards. Mathematics: Understanding of basic mathematical principles and their application. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Clerical Skills: Familiarity with administrative procedures including word processing and file management. Physical Demands This role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. Specific physical requirements include: Ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 20 to 60 lbs. Capability to perform repetitive motions such as squatting and bending. Manual dexterity and hand/fingers coordination for detailed tasks.
