This position is located on the island of Oahu and candidates must work in the state of Hawaii upon hire Typical duties include but are not limited to: Maintain direct bill receivables and correspond with business associates on open receivables Research and respond to customer inquiries via phone or email Identify and resolve policy and billing issues Analyze and interpret various accounting journals, policies, and procedures Prepare Journal Entries Perform SOX compliance duties Other duties as assigned by Supervisor(s) Qualifications / Experience: 2 year college degree or equivalent work experience 3 years general office experience Keyboard 35+ wpm Basic proficiency of MS Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat) Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong relationship building skills necessary to service customers. An effective communicator who has strong relationship building skills necessary to service internal/external customers Customer service skills - professional telephone etiquette, empathetic communicator, problem solving and analytical abilities Team player and good work ethics Able to adapt to changing circumstances Performs well under pressure of deadlines and completes assigned tasks in a prompt and reliable manner Able to manage high volume of work in a multi-task environment Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: Accounts receivable, collections and/or insurance experience Guidewire Billing Center experience Special Circumstances: May require periodic overtime Salary: $40,800 to $51,920 annually Salary offer is based on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge , skills and experience.
