We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD specializing inAsthma & Allergy. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporarymedical services in our facilities in need of coverage in the central Phoenix Valley area. Your contributions will be vital in providing medical care toour patients involving asthma & allergy issues. Job Type - Contract / Full - Time Principal Duties andResponsibilities • Consult with patients to determine theirsymptoms and health concerns. • Diagnosing and treating disorders and diseasesof the immune system or immunologic conditions. • Ordering or performing various diagnostic teststhat help diagnose various immunology conditions or allergic conditions. • Educating patients and their family membersabout some of the treatment options, prognosis, and diagnoses related toimmunology and allergy conditions. • Perform various provocation tests related toallergies through the use of nasal, bronchial, conjunctival, food, oral, andmedical challenges. • Interpreting diagnostic test results to diagnoseallergies, asthma, and immunological disorders. • Develop personalized treatment plans to improvepatients' quality of life. • Prescribing appropriate therapies, tests, andmedications to manage the patients' condition. • Administering allergy injections orimmunotherapy treatments. • Obtaining, compiling, and recording patientmedical data in various medical systems. • Effectively monitoring ongoing patientconditions. • Participate in continuing education courses, trainingactivities, and additional learning opportunities. • Keeping up to date with the latest developmentsin allergy and immunology medical practices. • As directed, developing protocols and trainingtools • Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills, Knowledge,and Abilities 1. Medicine-knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat humanillnesses, diseases, injuries, and other medical issues 2. Patienteducation- capable of communicating diagnoses, treatment plans, and othermedical matters in a manner that can be understood by the patient 3. Staffdevelopment- collaborating with Medical Assistant and other staff to providetraining or other developmental needs 4. Criticalthinking skills 5. Needsto be able to act autonomously and make difficult decisions that would benefitthe patient and must consider all benefits/repercussions of potential actionsand choose the appropriate venue. 6. Work in afast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities Education • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor or Doctor ofOsteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school is required. • Completion of a residency in Internal Medicineor Pediatrics. • Fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology • Completion of all training is required. Licenses/Certifications • Board Certified or eligible to be certified inAllergy and Immunology • DEA license • ABAI certification Other Requirements Ability to travel to AAAI offices as directed. Willingnessto work in any office assigned. Willingness (as needed) to travel for CMEopportunities. Working Conditions Medical office environment.
