The RN works independently with a high degree of autonomy, collaborating effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders to advance nursing practice and support related strategic organizational initiatives. Work is focused on shaping overall policy, expanding nursing practice through implementation and improvement of evidence-based practices, and educating to/communicating quality data and patient outcomes in the CCC.

This position works closely with the Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director, and department Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Required Experience

Required:  

  • Current California RN license
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • Current Advanced Life Support certification
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing  or concurrent enrollment in BSN program  

Preferred:  

  • Three (3) years clinical experience in a specialty area with comprehensive knowledge of quality performance improvement principals
  • Masters’ Degree in Nursing or related field completed or in progress, highly preferred
  • Advanced clinical certification(s) for applicable unit(s) (i.e. CCRN, etc.)
