Financial Analyst – UHealth Finance Department Job Summary The Financial Analyst compiles and analyzes financial information for the assigned division(s)/department(s) in an efficient and accurate manner. The incumbent assists management in decision‑making and strategic planning by presenting relevant financial reports in a clear, concise, and timely fashion. Core Job Functions Prepare and coordinate documentation of financial analysis projects such as budgets, forecasts, projections, expense performance, and presentations. Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings. Provide analytical support for forward‑looking financial or business‑related projects. Perform financial forecasting and reconcile accounts. Design and build various models summarizing different scenarios around growth and expansion initiatives or opportunities. Develop and maintain performance and productivity dashboards, models, or analyses. Collect, interpret, and analyze relevant data or metrics. Develop and maintain reports to support plans, business decisions, operational changes, strategic plans, and new services. Resolve any reporting issues. Make recommendations to align policies and procedures with best practices and capitalize on financial opportunities. Adhere to University and unit‑level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Experience Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills & Attitudes Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles. Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures. Ability to prepare financial and accounting records. Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data. Ability to compile, organize, interpret, and communicate accounting data and results concisely. Ability to manage a budget within its constraints. Any relevant education, certifications, and/or work experience may be considered.
