Job Summary The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing all invoices received for payment in an efficient and timely manner. These financial specialists provide administrative and clerical support by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, monitoring expenses, keeping records, producing reports and other tasks required by the supervisor to assist in the proper functioning of the department. Responsibilities Review all invoices to ensure approval and appropriate documentation prior to payment. Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements. Review, code, and post invoices to the GL. Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are properly posted. Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting vendors. Generate reports detailing accounts payables status. Understand expense accounts and cost centers. Coordinate new vendor setups and maintain vendor files. Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.). Assist the accounting department with data entry and other various tasks. Prepare payable check requests to ensure timeliness and accuracy of payments and acquire proper documentation. Qualifications 2 years working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in English and Spanish. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Permanent legal status to work and reside in the United States. Compensation Salary: $42,000 per year. Dental, Vision, and Health insurance. Paid time off (Vacation and Sick Time). (Waiting Period may apply. Only full-time employees eligible). Schedule Monday to Friday. 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
