**Shift:** 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2+ years
**License:** Active Kentucky RN License
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIH
**Must-Have:** Cardiac PCU experience
**Job Description:**
- Intermediate/Step-Down Cardiac Unit specializing in post-operative Coronary Bypass Graft, Valve surgery, Chest pain, and Dysrhythmia with pre/post Pacemaker/AICD placement, and pre/post Cath Lab care.
- Handle patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and manage cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Primacor, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Heparin.
- Competent in post cath sheath removal.
- The unit has 16 beds with a patient ratio of 4-5:1, occasionally 6:1.
- Knowledge of Cerner EMR system preferred.
- Work every other weekend with no on-call requirements.
- Participate in team-oriented care with a focus on advanced heart treatment.
- Follow the dress code: Scrub color is Galaxy Blue.
- Collaborate in an environment noted for numerous medical innovations and firsts.
- Work at a facility recognized for excellence in heart care and advanced transplant services.
Holiday Requirements:
- Blackout dates for time-off requests are from December 15th to January 4th.
- Must work at least 1 holiday: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day, and work 2 out of the 3 specified holidays.
