Travel Nurse RN

**Job Specialty:** Operating Room (OR)
**Job Duration:** 13-week assignment
**Shift:** 12-hour day shifts
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
**License:** Active RN license (Compact RN license acceptable)
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, both AHA only
**Must-Have:**
- Previous experience assisting with anesthesia
- Ability to circulate all open chest cases
- Willingness to assist with anesthesia after facility training
**Job Description:**
- Perform general nursing duties with a focus on CVOR procedures.
- Circulate all open chest cases and single circulate for vascular cases.
- Assist in procedures such as lines insertion (swan, a-line, etc.), Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), and laboratory work.
- Utilize equipment such as EPIC for charting, I-Stat, TEE, and warming/cooling units.
- Participate in orientation and full training including EPIC systems and basic nursing skills.
- Call duty required: weekday/night call approximately once every 7-10 days; full weekend call every 5-6 weeks.
- Potential to float to core side units as needed, such as general OR, ortho, and neuro.
- Comply with a strict dress code, including covering cloth cap and bouffant, no use of rings, fake nails, nail polish, large earrings, and securing necklaces.
- Collaborate with at least two nurses for all chest cases based on patient acuity.
Candidates should be comfortable with being trained by the facility to perform tasks related to assisting anesthesia and be ready to integrate smoothly into the department's team and routine.
