Join our Server Team Akamai's Infrastructure Engineering & Operations organisation builds and maintains Akamai's Platformone of the world's largest distributed platforms. Our Server Hardware Engineering team is responsible for designing, qualifying, and testing servers destined for our growing network. Partner with the best As a Hardware Engineer, you will develop and qualify new server hardware platforms. You also will be creating new software and automation frameworks for testing these new hardware and embedded software to run on hardware destined for Akamai's growing network. You'll be a part of a team that designs servers and develops firmware for our growing platform consisting of over 300,000 servers in 130 countries. Responsibilities Qualifying and acceptance testing of server components Cooperating with Vendors and Vendor management of OEM and ODM servers Contributing to the hardware development life cycle by providing consistent test solutions and automations for developed servers Developing systems responsible for testing x86 server hardware and embedded software Providing feedback and taking ownership in improving systems and processes Collaborating with industry partners and internal teams to design performant, efficient, and reliable computing systems Do what you love Qualifications Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Automation, Robotics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Electronics and Telecommunication fields. Have experience with Linux as well as in the following languages: Python, Bash environment Have an understanding of Computer Architecture -- CPUs, GPU, Drive, Memory Sub System, Networking Debug and write procedures and methodologies related to failures in production and field returns Be a good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-changing environment Be open for hybrid work (3 days on-site a week) in Cracow Be able to lift 18kg independently Work in a way that works for you FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
