Job Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Minimum Education Requirements Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics). License & Certifications Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Tennessee . National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)). Experience While specific requirements may vary, most locum NP positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty. Additional Notes Locum tenens NP positions are temporary assignments, often lasting weeks or months, to fill staffing gaps in healthcare facilities.
