**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Hematology/Oncology
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Day Shift, 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years at a large urban or academic health center; first-time travelers accepted but travel experience is preferred.
**License:** Must have an appropriate license for start dates 2-4 weeks out, or have started the licensing process for start dates 4+ weeks out.
**Certifications:** BCLS and ACLS required; ONS preferred.
**Must-Have:**
- Level 1 Trauma experience
- Oncology experience
**Job Description:**
- Effective 11/30/24, certain restrictions apply, allowing only specified roles to continue post-deadline.
- Charge pay is offered as a benefit for those taking on charge nurse responsibilities.
- Must be willing to work Christmas and New Year's.
- Call-ins: Responsibility to make up missed shifts either during the pay period or added at the end of the contract depending on full-time equivalency.
- Expected to work every other weekend, with potential for consecutive weekends based on operational needs.
- Charge nurse responsibilities may be required, with training and resources provided.
- Floating may be required across multiple levels of care, including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU, with resources provided if necessary.
- Staffing ratios are set at 1:4 for the unit.
- The unit specializes in inpatient hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant patient populations.
- The COVID-19 vaccine is mandatory unless a medical or religious exemption is provided.
- Modules are required to be completed pre-start and are tracked via the health system's online learning system.
