About the Role This role plays a key leadership position on Confluent’s corporate finance team. Reporting to the Director of Corporate FP&A, this role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy in forecasting, including P&L, headcount and free cash flow. In addition, this role will provide strategic insights to finance leaders to guide business decisions. The role will be involved in updating and building out a forecasting model based on complex datasets on a monthly basis, and synthesizing cash flow trends for quarterly executive and board meetings. This is a highly visible role that requires cross-functional coordination across Treasury, Accounting, and Operations. What You Will Do Proactively manage forecasts by analyzing variances, surfacing insights, and communicating key risks, opportunities, and business drivers. Present regularly to key finance leaders at Confluent including CFO, SVP of Finance and VP of Corporate FP&A. Refine and maintain driver-based financial models to understand historical and projected spend and profitability. Build strong relationships cross-functionally to continuously drive forecast accuracy, improve processes and automation, and establish rigor in measuring the business. Deliver quantitative and qualitative analyses with high precision and efficiency. What You Will Bring BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. 5+ years of experience of Finance at a SaaS company, Investment Banking, Private Equity or related field. Highly proficient in financial analysis and model building. Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets/Slides.
