**Shift:** 12-hour days; 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level II NICU
**License:** RN
**Certifications:** BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
**Must-Have:** At least Level II NICU experience (Level III NICU preferred)
**Job Description:**
- Provide specialized care for neonates in a Level II NICU.
- Manage a variety of neonatal conditions, with a focus on respiratory complications.
- Administer care for babies 28 weeks and above, with conditions like hyperbilirubinemia, meconium aspiration, and respiratory distress syndrome.
- Perform procedures including PICC line insertions and manage devices such as CPAP, vents, and nasal cannulas.
- Participate in simulation lab assessments, such as foley catheter insertions, on the first day of orientation.
- Work collaboratively with a team including Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and in-house Neonatologists.
- Adhere to the hospital's schedule and shift requirements, including participating in holiday rotations.
- Engage in self-scheduling with oversight by the scheduler to ensure fair distribution of shifts among staff.
- Maintain current certification in BLS and NRP; STABLE certification preferred.
- Actively participate in floor-specific orientation, including two shifts with a preceptor.
- Provide care within expected nurse-to-patient ratios; NICU (2:1) and SCN (3:1).
