This role requires a proactive, vigilant individual who remains highly engaged with customers, demonstrates integrity, possesses effective communication skills, and works well in a dynamic retail environment. The Store Manager also plays a key role in fostering a positive work culture, encouraging employee involvement, and supporting change management initiatives within the organization. Responsibilities Recruit, interview, hire, counsel, and manage termination processes, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to internal policies. Maintain financial controls, including managing shrinkage, payroll, and other operational expenses. Oversee inventory controls, facilitate transactions, and ensure compliance standards for shrink management. Monitor sales activities to ensure excellent customer service. Supervise staff engaged in sales, inventory management, cash reconciliation, and customer service. Ensure staff compliance with Citi Trends policies and procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills. Flexibility to work nights and weekends. Proficiency in mathematical calculations, including percentages. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of retail management experience. Additional 5-7 years of retail experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to work 45 hours per week, performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and pushing/pulling, with or without accommodations.
