Technical Lead – Electromechanical Systems Vindum Engineering is hiring a Technical Lead – Electromechanical Systems to help advance and support our high‑pressure laboratory pumps and valves. This is a hands‑on, senior role focused on deep product understanding, firmware and system‑level troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of long‑lived, safety‑critical products. ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking a Technical Lead – Electromechanical Systems to join our engineering team in a senior, hands‑on role with a clear long‑term growth path. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining deep exposure to our products, firmware, test methods, and production workflows. Over time, you will assume increasing technical ownership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop deep technical understanding of Vindum’s high‑pressure pumps, valves, control electronics, firmware, and test systems Support system‑level troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and operator interactions Maintain and debug embedded firmware written in C Validate firmware behavior on real hardware Support Windows‑based control software through testing and debugging Work directly with assembly and test personnel to resolve production issues Identify and lead incremental product improvements EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience) 8+ years of experience in electromechanical or embedded systems roles Strong embedded C experience with real hardware debugging Hands‑on comfort with test equipment and production systems Preferred: Experience with laboratory instrumentation, pumps, valves, or pressure equipment Familiarity with serial communications (RS‑232/485), Modbus, or similar protocols Experience improving product robustness and diagnostics COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 (DOE) Health insurance Paid holidays and PTO WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys deep product ownership, practical innovation, and hands‑on work with real hardware in a small, highly technical team.
