We are searching for a Technical Director - Mechanical Engineering to join our Life Science & Industrial team in Peachtree Corners, GA. The ideal candidate possesses 15+ years of related design engineering experience and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this position, the successful candidate will take leadership in the design of mechanical systems (including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing and piping) while mentoring junior/mid-level mechanical engineering professionals and supporting proposal efforts. Design projects will span across multiple markets and geographies, affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to building systems design. We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter and can move quickly and efficiently through a variety of design stages ranging from concept plans to construction documentation. Experience And Qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university 15+ years of related engineering experience Proficient with relevant software such as Revit, AutoCAD and BIM Experience mentoring and training employees Experience leading projects, supporting proposal efforts and interfacing with clients PE license is a strong plus; EIT certification preferred with plans on obtaining PE license in near future Ability to travel 25% of the time Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally About Pond Pond is an award-winning, full-service architecture, engineering, planning, construction management, and environmental services firm providing professional solutions to clients throughout the U.S. and globally for nearly 60 years.
