This position and program will require the candidate to be on-site at our client's office in downtown Houston, TX.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to architectural guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to address them.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests and automated test suites to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development processes and enhance product capabilities.
  • Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java.
  • Proficiency in Java programming language and related technologies (e.g., Spring Framework, Hibernate).
  • Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software development best practices.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions within scheduled timelines.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
