Overview

The Senior Warehouse Manager will be responsible for setting up and managing the entire end-to-end operations of a warehouse. The manager will set up optimal processes and practices to ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly to provide timely dispatch to our customers. This person will have familiarity with both manual and automated warehouse management operations and high-level customer service skills.


Roles and Responsibilities

Office Functions:

  • Customer contact, computer operations, handling of cash transactions and deposits, etc.

Warehouse Functions:

  • Placement of product in the warehouse in an orderly manner for efficiency
  • Pulling, processing, and checking orders for customers
  • Receiving and processing new product
  • Maintaining freshly charged and clean product for distribution
  • Proper processing and control of all returns from customers including new product, rotations, adjustments, and junks
  • Accurate loading and unloading of all delivery vehicles
  • Monthly counting, processing, checking, and balancing of all warehouse product

Driver/Delivery Functions:

  • Routing of vehicles for daily delivery of product
  • Familiarity with and enforcement of Drivers Code of Conduct
  • Focus on all driver and customer contacts
  • Ensure effective utilization of warehouse areas and observe proper loading, unloading, stocking and safekeeping of items to maintain the quality of finished goods. Prevent product damage and avoid occurrence of pilferage, accidents and occupational hazards.

All other duties:

  • Manage all warehouse personnel resources optimally, including setting up of reporting structure, identification of roles and responsibilities, training and development.
  • Manage, direct, and treat all employees in a professional manner in order to produce a positive and compatible work environment for warehouse, office, driver, and sales personnel.
  • Involved in the interviewing and hiring of all warehouse personnel.
  • Develop & effectively implement warehouse and inventory monitoring systems.
  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly reporting to leadership on inventory levels, P&L, issue resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience at a manager level within warehouse operations.
  • Experience in warehouse management, operations, or logistics.
  • Self-starter who can set up operations and workflows with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
